Open Burning in Nevada Has Ended for the Spring 2012

At 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 15, 2012, open burning of yard waste ended in the City of Nevada for the spring time period.  Open burning of yard waste is now prohibited in the city limits of Nevada until Monday October 1, 2012, starting at 8:00 A.M.

Violation of the City of Nevada’s open burning ordinance is a municipal infraction.  The fine for a first time violation of the open burning ordinance is $300, plus $85 in court costs.  Subsequent violations of the open burning ordinance are $500, plus $85 court costs for each violation.
