Nevada Aquatic CenterGeneral Information:

Fawcett Family Aquatic Center is an outdoor facility with waterslides, water play features, sand volleyball, sand play area, shade funbrellas, lounge chairs, lap swimming area, diving board, and full service concessions.

Dates of Operation: June 2 – August 19, 2018
 
Open Swim: Noon – 7 p.m. daily (Monday - Friday) Noon - 6 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday)

Family Extended Hour Swim: The facility will be open until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays throughout the season when swim lessons are not in session.

Adult Lap Swim: 11 a.m. - Noon (Daily) - a lane is available upon request all hours of operation for lap swimming.

Rates and Fees: Season passes must be purchased online at http://abcsportscamps.com/nevadaiowa

  • Family Season Pass: $170.00** + tax
    Pass is good for one season for up to 4 family members living in the same household (Example: parents / children). Additional family members are an extra $28.00** each. Family members living in another residence must have their own pass. Baby sitters are not allowed as an additional family member on a pass.
  • Individual Season Pass: 80.00** + tax
    Pass is good for one season for an individual.
  • 2 Person Family Pass: $115.00. Pass is good for one season for 2 individuals living in the same household. Example: siblings, parent/child. Pass is non-transferrable.
  • 3 Person Family Pass: $145.00. Pass is good for one season for 3 individuals living in the same household. (Example: siblings, parent/children). Pass is non-transferrable.
  • 4 Person Family Pass: $170.00. Pass is good for one season for 4 individuals living in the same household. (Example: siblings, parent/children). Pass is non-transferrable.
  • Additional Family Member: $25.00 each. (Example: Additional Child). Pass is non-transferrable.
  • Babysitter or Grandparent Pass: $55.00. This can be added to a Family Season Pass and is limited to (1) grandparent or babysitter not living in the same household.
  • Senior Season Pass: $63.00** + tax
    Pass is good for one season for individuals 55 years of age and older. Pass is not good for special events outside regular pool hours.
  • General Admission: $5.00/person**
    All patrons ages 4-54 must pay to enter the pool facility regardless of their intent to swim or not. General admission includes use of all pool facilities.
  • Senior Citizen Admission: $3.50/person**
    All individuals over the age of 55 receive a complimentary $1.50 discount off the regular general admission price.
  • Toddler Rate (2-3 year olds):$2.50/person**
  • Children 1 and under: FREE
    All children 1 and under receive free admission when accompanied by a paying adult.
  • Twilight Swim: $2.50/person**
    After 5 p.m. each day admission is $2.50/person.
  • Punch Pass: $45.00/card**
    10 admissions to the Aquatic Center. Punch cards are available at Fawcett Family Aquatic Center.
  • Group Rate: $3.50/person**
    Groups of 20 or more calling ahead of time can
    receive a group rate of $3.50/person.
  • Prices with a double asterisk (**) include sales tax.

Swimming Lessons: All registrations must be made online at http://abcsportscamps.com/nevadaiowa Registration will open on April 2 at 9 a.m. Classes will automatically fill as registrations take place online.

 

Little Tykes Swim

Little Tykes Swims will be held daily during the hours of 5-7 p.m. Monday-Friday. During this special time, children under 48” tall can go down the waterslide with a parent/guardian.

Semi-Private/Group Parties

Groups are invited to rent the pool from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday – Friday for a Semi Private Party at a rate of $100.00. Groups can have as many swimmers as they would like and can bring in food for their event. Please remember that this special rate is during open swim time.

PRIVATE POOL PARTIES
Private Pool Parties are 1.5 hours in length on Saturday’s and Sunday’s only from 6:30-8 p.m. Rental fee is $225.00.

Private Swim Lessons

Private swim lessons are available through lifeguards employed at Fawcett Family Aquatic Center. Nevada Parks and Recreation will provide individuals interested in private swim lessons a list of potential instructors. It is the responsibility of the parent to contact the instructor of their choice to teach private lessons. Anyone taking private swim lessons must either have a season pass or pay the daily admission fee. Lessons are based on ½ hour sessions averaging $8.00/half hour. There must be a 1-1 instructor/child ratio. Lessons will be allowed during the following times:

  • 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. Daily
  • 5 - 7 p.m. Monday - Friday
  • 5 - 6 p.m. Weekends

Rules and Regulations

  1. No pushing, fighting, dunking or other horseplay is allowed in or around the pool facility.
  2. No diving in the shallow end of the swimming pool and in other areas where it is marked "NO DIVING".
  3. No running on the deck.
  4. All patrons must wear regulation swimwear. No t-shirts, jean shorts, or cutoffs are allowed into the pool.
  5. A soap shower is required before entering the pool.
  6. No glass objects will be allowed in or around the pool facility.
  7. A responsible individual 16 years of age or older must supervise children under the age of seven (7) at all times.
  8. Patrons under the age of 17 must demonstrate the ability to earn their deep-water pass. The deep-water pass allows patrons entrance to the lap lanes, diving well, and waterslide areas.
  9. Waterslide users must be 48" tall or have their deep-water pass before using the waterslides.
  10. Rest periods will begin 10 minutes before the hour and end on the hour.
  11. No flotation devices are allowed in lap lanes, diving well, or waterslide areas.
  12. Water wings and life jackets are the only acceptable flotation devices allowed. (No inner tubes or noodles are allowed)
  13. All play toys are subject to the approval of management.
  14. Children may not go into lap lanes or diving well even when accompanied by an adult unless they have their deep-water pass.
  15. No smoking is allowed inside the pool facility.
  16. Children that are not toilet trained must wear a "swim" diaper.
  17. Persons with open sores will not be allowed to swim.
  18. No backwards jumps, dives, or flips are allowed from the edge of the pool.
  19. The City of Nevada is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
