City crews began Monday and will continue this week to make ONE pass through the entire town as they remove
City Engineer
WHKS & Co. serves as the City Engineer, providing technical expertise for all public and private improvements within the City.
Responsibilities include planning, design, and management of public infrastructure projects programmed by the City, as well as review of private developments for compliance with City Code, policies, standards, and applicable state and federal requirements. All projects are completed under the direction of the City Administrator.
Key tasks include:
- Reviewing site plans and subdivision plats for compliance with City Code and the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
- Attending City Council meetings.
- Assisting City staff with resolving technical issues related to the maintenance, improvement, and expansion of public infrastructure.
- Providing technical support for the preparation of the annual Capital Improvement Program.
- Investigating funding sources for public improvements.
- Representing the City at outside meetings involving engineering issues.
- Providing services and deliverables to support survey, traffic, water, wastewater, civil, structural, water resources, forensic, and construction engineering needs.
