Come to City Hall to set up water and sewer account in your name. A $75 deposit is required to set up an account and it is also a requirement to complete a water/sewer registration/application. A 48-hour advance notice is required from customers prior to moving in or out of a residence so required readings can be acquired. We bill on the first of every month with bills due the 15th.
Temporary Vacancies or "Snowbirds" - A property owner may request water service be temporarily discontinued and shut off at the curb stop when the property is expected to be vacant for an extended period of time. There is a fee for disconnecting and reconnecting service; however, during the period when service is temporarily discontinued there shall be no monthly minimum service charge. Please note the City will not drain pipes or pull meters for temporary vacancies. For fee schedule please contact the City Administrative Offices at 515-382-5466.
Garbage Collection Service
Private haulers handle garbage collection in the City. The four current providers are:

The garbage hauler will pick up most household refuse provided it is in the proper location on the day of collection. Contact one of these service providers to acquire service and begin private billing.
